From full interior refits to individual custom pieces, we create marine joinery that stands up to the conditions at sea whilst delivering the refined finish you would expect from master cabinetmakers. Whether you are building new or upgrading an existing vessel, we work alongside you, your project manager, and the rest of your team to deliver results that match your brief.

Marine Cabinetry and Interior Fit-Outs for Yachts and Powerboats

We offer a complete marine cabinetry service for vessels ranging from 30ft through to 100ft and beyond. Our work covers everything from full interior fit-outs on new builds to refits, modifications, and the manufacture of individual custom units.

Our projects range from practical pieces like main saloon tables, coffee tables, fly bridge tables, and cockpit fold-down picnic tables, all designed to suit how you use your vessel. We have built galley tops with precision cutting to accommodate deep freeze units, waste bins, and integrated appliances below the counter, as well as navigation stations and helm cabinetry that balance functionality with finish.

Storage solutions, berth furniture, wet bars, and entertainment units are built to maximise space whilst maintaining the aesthetic you are after. We also handle structural elements like wall panels, ceiling panels, and trims that complete the interior, along with reception counters and custom fixtures for commercial vessels and passenger ferries.

One of our notable projects was working on the Fullers Harbour Cat, where we completed a full refit from the initial strip-out through to new lighting, wall and ceiling panels, trims, reception counters, drinks dispensers, and the helm.

Every piece we build is designed with attention to weight, finish, structural integrity, and the practicalities of working in a marine environment. We coordinate closely with boat yards, project managers, vessel owners, and other trades to ensure the work integrates seamlessly into your project timeline.

Marine-Grade Materials and Finishes

The durability of marine joinery comes down to materials and finish. We use BS1088 marine-grade plywood (the international standard for structural marine plywoods) across all projects, ensuring stability and resistance to moisture in demanding conditions. Every surface is seal-coated and finished in 2-pack lacquer to minimise moisture penetration and provide long-lasting durability.

We work with trusted suppliers who specialise in marine-grade products, including BBS Timbers for marine plywoods, Verve Veneers by Hallmark Group for premium veneer finishes, and Wynn Fraser Paints and Whangarei Paint Centre for high-performance marine coatings. For technical components and hardware, we source from Steel Masters and other marine-focused specialists.

Timber selection is carefully considered to match existing interiors or to meet specific design requirements. Weight is always a factor, particularly on performance vessels, and we balance aesthetics with practicality to deliver joinery that performs as well as it looks.

Working in the Northland Marine Industry

Decades of Marine Joinery Experience

The marine industry is collaborative by nature. We are experienced in working alongside project managers, naval architects, boat builders, and other specialist trades to deliver results on schedule. Timelines in marine projects can be demanding, and we are set up to adapt to changing schedules whilst maintaining the quality you would expect from a master cabinetmaker.
Our experience in the marine sector spans from the mid-1990s through to 2010, followed by a period in the residential and commercial building industry. We have returned to marine work, bringing with us the additional skills and standards developed over those years in high-end residential joinery.

Established Marine Industry Relationships in Northland

We have built strong working relationships with local marine businesses, including Oceania Marine, Whangarei Yacht Support, Harbourside Boat Works, Marsden Cove Marina, and Able Marine. These connections help us stay integrated into the Northland marine community and keep projects moving efficiently.

Vessel Owners, Boat Builders, and Marina Operators

We work directly with vessel owners, marine fit-out companies, boat builders, marinas, and yacht support services. Most of the vessels we work on are luxury yachts and powerboats, many of which are overseas-owned and maintained in New Zealand waters. Whether you are commissioning a full interior refit, need modifications to existing joinery, or require a one-off custom piece, we will discuss your project, provide guidance on materials and finishes, and deliver work that meets the standards expected in the marine industry.

Marine Cabinetry Services Across Northland and Auckland

We are based in Northland and primarily work with clients across the region. For the right project, we are also available to travel to Auckland, particularly for larger fit-outs or vessels requiring specialist marine joinery. If you are not sure whether your project or location is a good fit, get in touch and we will let you know what is possible.
